Summary: A disfigured Algonquin girl wins the heart of an invisible being.  A Cinderella story. I own a copy of this story. It's meant to follow a girl with a kind not-so rough heart even though she has a 'rough' face.

It's a lovely Cinderella story about what matters the most is kindness.

Hush! A Thai Lullaby - Minfong Ho - Review

Summary: A mother is doing her best to keep her child asleep. She gets onto animals throughout the story.

I enjoy this it's hilarious. The picture and the lullaby tell two sides of the story. Mom is trying to keep the baby asleep, however, baby is wide awake. She's wearing herself out while the kid doesn't sleep.

Review: I love this it shows a child persistence toward making the magnificent thing. As she's doing this she's still making things that other people can use or love even though she doesn't like it. It shows a positive way of working through something -- take a break and come back with fresh eyes.

Recommend?: Yes! Great for lessons or at home reading!

Review: This book touches on what a child may feel if they've lost a parent from death, incarceration or by choice. This is a nice simple story about emotions, feeling afraid and finding a family. It is accurate with behavior of a child who is scared and not certain about their future.

This was one of the many books for children I've picked up from Goodwill.

It was interesting enough. A decent story to read together. It doesn't seem like it's an easy to find book. I couldn't find any Youtube read alouds or anything.

Amelia Bedelia - Peggy Parish - Review

I read this book repeatedly as a kid because I was determined to learn how to get her last name to rhyme with her first name. I knew it had to rhyme but I could not get it to.

Read alone/quiet reading in school mostly so I never heard anyone say her name.

This was a book that was never read aloud to me as a kid. I re-read it for an college class and loved it. Glad I went back to read it.
