I bought this so I could have something where hammering was creating something and not too destructive. This pack came with the stamps, hammer, and circle metal pieces to write shit on it with.
I saw on one of the craft blogs how people use sharpie to darken the words on the designs. I tried it but I preferred how I was doing it — but I did smash the words into the blanks thick enough that you couldn’t mistake the lettering. So, that did help a lot.
It works well enough. The only thing that was frustrating is on the brass hammer is it a screw on / off. While hammering I have to twist it back on after awhile. While it does get scratched up I didn’t notice it interfering with the ability to hammer the letters. I was surprised at how easy it scratched up — as I don’t slam the hammer too aggressively.
This can stamp metals and wood. I haven’t tried wood yet — but will update if/when I do that. Overall, it’s great for I am using it for — as a stress relieve crafting.
I'd apologize for the rusty stove top. But it's not my stove. It came with the house and there's not much we can do with what it looks like. We clean it but it never looks clean.
I wasn't taught how to cook by my mom. My dad, it was a point of pride as a man that he didn't know how to cook a lot.
Since I didn't have any at home cooking lesson. I went where any millennial would go -- YouTube and cooking blogs. I found one where with the enchilada sauce they put cream cheese in it. So, that's what I did. I'm not doing that again, I'm just going to prep regular never wrong enchilada sauce like I knew I should have
I forgot to take the chicken out of the fridge
I woke up late and forgot to take the chicken out of the fridge. Like our stove the fridge came with the rent house. It sucks, you can take things out of the freezer and it'll continue freezing in the fridge. So, to quicken things I googled if I could defrost the chicken in a crock pot. Thankfully, you can, so that's what I did.
I learned that you shouldn't start seasoning until after chicken or anything really is no longer frozen. Thank God for the internet.
I started to freakout thinking I put too much seasoning in this.
Every 1.5 I'd throw more cayenne & garlic salt. At one point I accidentally peppered it and put cinnamon in it. At the end of this it was a gurgling red-pink thing from everything. I was weirded out that everything red I put in here turned pink. And, hoped it wasn't a bad sign. But then I did add salt, pepper, garlic salt, cayenne and taco seasoning by the end of its time in the pot. So who knows (probably someone that isn't me).
No one in my family or anyone on internet would reassure me.
So, I would ask for advice on the internet or my family. No one was HELPING. Which didn't help my anxiety at all. By the time the chicken was out of the crock pot some of it not only thawed but also cooked.
For my boyfriend to be able to eat this by the time he got home.. I had to take it to the oven to cook.
I put more seasoning and cooked it in the liquid from the crockpot. I started to wonder if I was supposed to use butter at all. I'm so used to home cooked meals having butter in some form that I wasn't sure. My sister started handing out advice AFTER I COOKED THE MEAL. AFTER. Not,y'know, when I was asking for it.
After I took a picture I put more seasoning on this. My anxiety levels to settle it was just: PUT MORE ON IT WHO CARES AT THIS POINT( I did). Then, I watched a YouTube video where they're all: If you use flour tortillas you're going to get soggy enchiladas. Which tortillas do you think my boyfriend purchased? So, there went my anxiety again. I don't know why, it's not like I was making this to win a cooking show or serving this to someone I wanted to hire me.
I was just more concerned about not killing anyone who I fed this to.
What they looked like after I rolled the tortillas with chicken and cheese.
The cream cheese gave my sauce this funky color. It was orange. It was as thick as they said it would become. I shouldn't have put it in. But I was splicing together recipes to get something edible. And, I like cream cheese so I mean I figured may as well.
It was edible and no one died.
My boyfriend went for seconds. I walked some over to my sisters house so she could eat some. I sent some home with my other sister the day after that. So, it was a win. I plan on seasoning the chicken even more and not ever putting cream cheese in an enchilada recipe ever again.
The day after we made BBQ chicken sandwiches with the leftover chicken from this. It was good, like, my enchiladas were the right amount of spicy. But combined with the BBQ sauce it added to it so much.
This was my first time cooking with chicken, a crock pot and making enchiladas. I hope you all have parents who help you learned how to cook so you're not an almost-30 year old having a panic attack for half a Saturday. This took like, roughly six hours to cook because I forgot to defrost the chicken.
Recipe:
Links are Amazon Affiliate thank you!
2 packages of boneless breast chicken (Or something? just make sure it's boneless) 2 packets of taco seasoning (McCormick but sadly, they're non-GMO) 8 oz of cream cheese (I don't recommend this at all). Chicken broth but I didn't have any so I used water Garlic Salt (I'd recommend anyone who doesn't promote NON-GMO). Lemon juice (I used realemon that I bought for another dish that I never made). I just put enough to smell just a hint of it Ground red pepper - McCromick ..sadly they're NONGMO labeled, too Pepper - McCromick ..sadly they're NONGMO labeled, too. Olives - I used a lot because I like olives I even mixed it in the sauce then added more before cooking. Any that aren't NONGMO. Tortillas - Honestly flour or corn. Warm the corn ones up though so they' don't crack. Don't over sauce flour because they start ripping when rolling after dipping it in sauce. 3 Mexican shredded cheese. Or the 4 one, really. This also tastes good on top of goulash (I know not this recipe but it's a good cheese blend.) Cinnamon (Powder and it was accidental. thankfully iddn't make a difference taste wise). Enchilada Sauce
Chicken: gently placed in a crockpot filled with water (or chicken broth if you remembered to buy some). Crockpot put on high, put 1 packet of taco seasoning in. Then every 1.5 hours garlic salt, cayenne, pepper and some lemon juice. Can be finished in the oven if you're running out of crockpot time and it's almost dinner time. In oven: High, 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Then can lower that to 350-300 for another 30 minutes. Check to make sure it's cooked thoroughly and don't assume the time + temperature I'm giving is the right one for you. Mine cooked at 400 degrees in 30 minutes after sitting in the crockpot for over two hours. SO.
Shred the fuck out of the chicken once it's out. Get busy with it, shredded to perfection is the best of bets.
Enchilada sauce: I didn't make homemade I bought it -- anything that isn't NONGMO. Heat it up, throw some olives in (not a half to I just really like olives), cut 8 oz of cream cheese in (don't do this part), taco seasoning ( just do 2 packets of this on the chicken not the sauce).
Flour tortillas: You didn't buy corn sooo. Don't oversauce, the tortilla will start ripping from the sauce. Otherwise, dip in sauce then throw cooked chicken, and cheese, roll. Place in pan. Realize that you made too many pre-dipped tortillas that can't fit in the pan. Ignore them and keep going.
Corn: heat them up before you start rolling they'll probably crack on you otherwise.
Cook for another 30 minutes to bind everything together. Pray, and then eat.
Just make sure everything is cooked, that you washed your hands throughout the meal making, and that you enjoy the experience. Whether you follow this recipe or not... just have fun. And, remember if you followed this recipe but changed a bunch of shit it's no longer this recipe. K,thx.
I purchased this dress on Amazon over winter break. It was cheap and I had free shipping so went for it. I don't have a lot of professional attire for my new job so .. it was a work buy. Thankfully, it's comfy and casual enough to be not-work clothes, too.
My Amazon review talks about my height and weight to get a feel of what the dress is like for my height/weight. I started doing more reviews when I noticed that there aren't many heavier women doing reviews about the clothing they purchased -- or at least, with the clothes that I'm looking at they're not.
This was going to be my First Day Back after Winter Break outfit but the temperature has dropped and we have supposed snow/rain/ice on the way..so it'll have to wait.
For me, this dress is the perfect length and weight -- not heavy to where my arms feel tired from wearing it or too tight.
The pockets fit my entire hand. I like that my cellphone fits in the pockets as well. I love having the ability to be hands free as much as possible.
Would I recommend this dress? Yes, yes I would. It's meant to be for spring/summer I'm sure but I prefer layers of clothes that I can peel off when it gets too hot from the heating. There are a variety of colors and design. The clothes only go to a size XL. I usually wear a 2 XL
This is a calendar you print and cut out to use. It has the Saxon October's pattern. Includes a printable month and the years 2018-2020 and a few blank rectangles and circles to use.
I use this in my class so I'll quit forgetting about the pattern aspect of Saxon morning math meeting!

I purchased the eBook in anticipation of this movie. My experience with the book is limited to when I was substituting for a sixth grade history class. I didn't enjoy reading it to the students.
I vaguely remember trying to read it as a kid. It's understandable for fans to possibly not enjoy what this is. But as someone who isn't a fan of the books at all...this was good.
I like even through the bizarre and brilliant coloring the focus is on family, love and finding yourself. It's a film adaptation so it's going to miss the things only books can give you but overall it's enjoyable.

"I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then" — Lewis Carroll (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass)
My short conversation about my opinion on the Kindle app. I've made another list post about why I enjoy eBooks. I still have a Nook tablet sitting under my TV stand from years ago when my mom purchased me one. It was one of the older ones which didn't have a lot going for it and I couldn't change settings as much as I wanted to.
I only have one page of books that comes to 51 books on it. So, I don't purchase a lot of eBooks with it. Most are 'classics' that I could get for free. Nook app and all was my first through the eBook world so had less money back then to buy 'rent' eBooks. So, classic downloads it was.
Recently, I discovered I could buy books through PayPal. I work at Rev.com on and off when I can sit down and work an audio file. Can't do it full-time like so many who are on there. I would love to but I can sit long or have headset on for a long while. But it's good if I want to buy a book once in awhile.
I'm currently reading Bayou Born from Hailey Edwards on Nook. It was 99 cents which is what I had on my PayPal account. It's good and I'm enjoying it a lot.
The issues I have with Nook is that jumping from different devices it doesn't have the feature of getting to the last page you read. So, while reading on my phone I have to remember what page I am on when I log into my Tablet. Or, on the computer. The Nook for Web is a frustration more often than being convenient..and yet, I use it still. If I need to sit up to read it's where the book I'm currently reading residents...so gotta.
So, it doesn't automatically for me save my spot same as the other devices. But it also does this:
To which I have to refresh occasionally so I can access the books. Then, sometimes, when I am reading a book I've purchased it acts like I'm just reading a preview. So, I'll be reading toward the end of the story and poof! sends me back to preview.
But y'know I have proof that I did buy it. On my PayPal (which I'm not loading here) and on B&N's website saying so. This problem I have to sign out of and back into B&N, refresh the "Unknown error" and hope it's cooperating today.
Nook does have brightness option with a beige, gray and black background options. It does have font size and margins and font change options.
Would love to be able to have a green background option as it helps me the most. The original font on Nook for me isn't bothersome to read so that is a bonus. The brightness is still brighter than Kindle for night reading which hurts sometimes. But my phone has a blue light filter that if I remember putting on helps counter the brightness so there's that.
But all my reasons why I still use it even though it seems to have more problems than Kindle.
1) sometimes doesn't register I purchased something
2) errors a lot
3) Some limitations on visual options
4) Doesn't save my spot in various mobile devices used
Our three day weekend started with waking up and going to the Tulsa Zoo. Tweeted the zoo to find out how to access a wheelchair from them. It costs eight dollars. Fourteen something all together. You return it and get the five dollars back from the experience.
We haven't been here in years there were many updates. Wheelchair was fine. The trip through the was a bit rocky.
Some of the paths aren't even which I'm okay with. It happens nothing is perfect in this world. An aspect of my health problems is pain levels and dealing with that garbage so in parts the roughness was painful.
I worried things wouldn't be fun or manageable if it kept the way it was.
Exhibit buildings were fun. Our zoo is huge but smaller than others but it's still entertaining. Monkeys I hadn't seen the last time I was here. Got to see the giraffes -- usually physically I don't get to see a lot so I'm not 100% if EVERYTHING was new I experienced was simply new to me or new-new.
Some of the facilities the handicap buttons did not work and there wasn't any signs to indicate that they weren't operational. Thankfully, my boyfriend was pushing me around Saturday and was able to maneuver around these issues. We received assistance from other zoo visitors, too, which was a relief as some of the doors were not handicap accessible at all. If I was there alone my navigation would be longer to get to a main door... or asking strangers for help.
The loose animals around the park are very used to human contact. My boyfriend bought us ice cream and was surprised at how much they cost. But they came with in a way...free entertainment. A Peacock quietly watching him silently asking for a share of the ice cream. My boyfriend told him, "I have a feeling you shouldn't have ice cream." But pointed at the fallen pieces anyway. He wasn't going to outright hand over anything but figured if it wanted some he'd have to find it on his own.
He didn't take the hint that food was JUST right there. He eventually wandered away and we were met with two geese. Both calm and waiting for their share of the ice cream. Boyfriend did point, and lift the pieces to him which he did eat.
Thought I took more pictures through our journey inside the zoo but apparently did not.
I got this little guy, too! Squishy toys and pillows are great little things that I can use to rest my limbs on without much pain. Plus, it's adorable so there's that. But seriously, it can cause bruising and pain if my legs sit on one another, or rest my hands on top of the other. It's really painful, annoying and extremely stupid. Stupid because why do basic normal people thing to do .. cause injury?
So, have another cutie pie arm rest. If cannot tell it's a green/yellow Budgie.
After the zoo we went to my parent's new house. They got the furniture included in the move and it looks and feels super fancy. So, good for them with that. They were having a BBQ to celebrate with the family, etc.
My youngest sister and her family didn't make it as they were on a 3 day camp trip on some lake. I don't remember which one.
My other sisters and nieces were there though. We watched Game Night and Black Panther. Already knew Black Panther was good but Game Night surprised me...hilarious and only smidgen of dirty humor at the beginning of the movie.
Today I caught up on Shadowhunters and I think ..almost done with season 1 of the Librarians.
Wayward Sisters the second spin-off from Supernatural that didn't happen. Supernatural: Bloodlines was the first unsuccessful one. I understood why that one didn't make it -- we didn't know the characters well enough. Or, that's why I thought it wasn't successful and the reason Wayward Sisters was going to succeed.
We know Jody Mills and Donna Hanscum. We know Alex and Claire -- Patience and Kaia were new but well received and amazing characters. Characters that started on Supernatural with similar elements from it. The alternative worlds that began this season on Supernatural would I believe be forefront in Wayward Sisters -- new enough and not overused... yet.
Instead, CW went with Legacies another spin-off of Vampire Diaries saying that they had more with that. I find it weird that Supernatural seems to not be able to create other shows with the success they've had with it.
There is a petition on change.org to try to save Wayward Sisters. Link if you're interested in helping out with it -- here.
If they don't create the show I'm hoping we'll see the group in future episodes of Supernatural. That their stories keep moving forward in the show whether in an official spin off or not.

Didn't know what this was until Fibroqueen tagged me with it. It's a way to promote the original creator of the award, the person who tagged you and those that you tag. Figured I'd put that in if anyone wanted to know what this was about.
I've completed rule 1-4 now onto the next ones:
Number 5: Tell 3 things about yourself
1. I'm a certified elementary teacher haven't landed a job since I graduated
2. I am extremely shy & bad with anxiety which is a shitty mix for job interviews.
3. I am not a grammar/spelling fanatic as you'd expect from a teacher. Not that I don't encourage it but it's not that big of a deal.
Number 7: Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog. I'll do that one after awhile.
Number 8: Ask your nominees 5 questions w/ 1 weird or funny question.
1) What drew you into blogging?
2) Silly question: What do you think will break or end the internet?
3) If you're busy what's the one thing you always make sure you have time to do?
4) What authors do you read their material NO MATTER what? Or, actor/actress if you don't have an author but possibly favorite actor.
5) How many do you actively follow?
Number 9: Share links to your best blog posts
I'm going with "most clicked on" or ones I enjoyed writing.
What inspires you to write a blog post? Reading and the enjoyment I get from it. Get all the frustration out of having chronic health problems in a way that's fun and enjoyable (at least for me).
Why did you decide to blog? What do you enjoy the most about blogging? I have been blogging since 13? 10? But there has never been any objective/goal to it..just nonsense. I wanted to create something that had a point even if it was just to me.
My favorite thing is writing reviews. Even the short ones. It allows me more time with a book I've been reading and just .. talk about it.
With WordPress there is the social aspect that existed with Livejournal that I haven't seen so much with Tumblr or other social websites.. in my experience.
Who is your favorite writer?
My favorite writer currently is Kelley Armstrong
What is your favorite time to write? Why? In the morning when I'm in the most pain but can't lay back down. It gives me something to do while the nonsense is going on. Fantastic distraction. Doesn't ALWAYS work as the pain sometimes overpowers EVERYTHING.
What is the one piece of clothing that you own that you love and will not part with? UHM answering this as type of clothing: sweaters, shawls, parkas... any garment that is meant to keep you warm but is like a blanket that you wear and it's socially acceptable to walk around in.
My boyfriend's grandfather died last Friday. His Funeral was Wednesday. My boyfriends grandparents are amazing. I didn't have great grandparents. They didn't treat us nicely were always awful to us. They didn't like their son so they didn't like us. My mom's mom was an amazing person toward us-- her hubby not so much.. didn't like my dad..didn't like us. But he was an awful person before we showed up anyway.
My parents are moving house. They're moving further north. I'm super glad. We grew up in a sketchy area. Then move to a new sketchy area. I'm glad they're able to get somewhere without as much worry.. for the time being. Even small town's have crime and problems. The town I live with my boyfriend has violent crimes as well.
My sister got a due date: August 28th! BUT!!! The doctors think she's further along than they all are saying so the day may change! She didn't find out right away that she was pregnant. She went to the doctor because she was having pain and struggling to lift things -- ta da! Apparently, being pregnant was causing all the problems.
I'm still in need of medical assistance for surgery. I've a youcaring account for online donations. So far I've a few dollars saved up myself. My work is ending at the end of May due to school being out.
I'm being checked for diabetes and trying to figure out why I'm dealing with bladder pain. I'd rather not but lord if getting answers fixes these problems. I'm game.
Just looked at my music list on Spotify -- I've 77 hours & 43 mins of music in it. 1,258 songs in it. Didn't realize how much I add to it. I usually leave it on Shuffle. But I've noticed it tries to bounce around to the same songs I always listen to. Which isn't bad just..
Most of the stuff I listen to on Spotify is fast pace, energetic in hopes to keep me awake. The original sentence in this blog was part of a paragraph I deleted...then didn't fix to make sense without the other paragraph. Oop.
